(Photo by Cheewin Sattha)MAE HONG SON - A man believed to be major timber poacher was arrested and many illegally cut teak tree logs and processed planks seized at his house in Pang Ma Pha district early on Friday morning. They found 37 teak tree logs and 42 processed teakwood planks. House owner Pusit Jitmetratham was caught on the premises and later handed over to Pang Ma Pha police for legal action. He is alleged to be a major timber poacher in the area,The seized teak logs, each about 20 inches in diameter, were believed destinated for making furniture for sale to senior officials in the northern province.
